YOUR STRATEGY FIRST

Build a trading bot from my strategy

You describe the entries, exits and risk rules you already trade. We confirm every condition back to you in a written spec, then build and backtest the bot before anything goes live.

SQtrader custom trading bot development showing charts and code built from a trader's own strategy rules

Your bot in five stages

Every SQtrader build follows the same ordered path. You know what happens at each step before you commit, and nothing goes live until you have approved the spec and reviewed the backtest.

  1. 1

    Share your strategy rules

Send your entry, exit and risk rules, plus the platform, instruments and timeframe you trade.

  2. 2

Receive and approve a written spec

We turn your rules into a written spec, and the build starts only after you sign off on every condition.

  3. 3

Build the bot on your platform

The bot is coded for MT4, MT5 or TradingView Pine Script, following the approved spec line by line.

  4. 4

    Backtest and review results

We run the bot against historical data and share the results so you can check them against your expectations.

  5. 5

    Deploy and support after launch

We help you deploy the bot and stay available for fixes once it is trading live. For the full breakdown of the process, see How It Works.

Backtesting and clear results

Before a custom bot ever touches a live account, we run it through historical data using the exact rules in your approved spec. Entries, exits, position sizing and daily loss limits are all tested the way you wrote them, and the results are shared with you so you can judge the logic yourself rather than take our word for it. If a rule behaves differently than you intended, you see it in the backtest first.

Backtests are a check on whether your rules do what you meant them to do, which is a different question from whether they will make money. Past backtest performance does not guarantee future results, and live markets can behave differently from any historical sample. That is why every report is paired with the risk limits we built in, so you can review the downside as clearly as the upside. If you are planning a prop firm bot, the same tests can be checked against the firm's stated rules before you go near a challenge.

If a rule behaves differently than you intended, you see it in the backtest first.
